Why we love that Kim Kardashian broke wedding guest rules on Serena Williams' big day

Serena Williams married millionare Reddit Co-founder Alexis Ohanian In a Beauty & The Beast themed wedding on Thursday, and as to be expected, the vast guest list was an A-list one.
Kim Kardashian , Venus Williams , Beyonce , Eva Longoria and the members of New Edition were spotted arriving at the celebrity wedding of the decade, all dressed in their wedding finest.
Sticking to important wedding etiquette, none of the guests were seen wearing white, but many took the Disney theme seriously, with dazzling princess frocks being the order of the day.

Sequins, chiffons, intricate beading and full skirted proms were popular styles, with actress Eva donning a navy embellished gown, with a provocative plunging neckline.
There was one guest however that threw the fashion rule book straight out of Serena's snazzy wedding venue... Kim Kardashian, of course
Kim opted for a simple black dress 
Despite the theme, the 37-year-old stuck to her signature style, choosing a simple, figure-hugging black SS18 dress by designer Alex Perry for the occasion.
The £1,686, maxi dress featured spaghetti straps and a form fitting silhouette which flaunted Kim's famous curves to the max.
She wore her hair in a sleek ponytail with no jewellery 
Without a touch of bling in sight, she certainly went for the less is more approach, and I kind of love her for staying true to her own style despite the glitzy theme. Wonder if Serena would agree with me?
Black isn't always the obvious choice either for wedding attire either and i'm not usually a fan, but I guess if you're a Kardashian you can wear whatever the heck you want.
Whether you love her simple black attire or not, there's no denying she turned heads. I think she still managed to look like the belle of the ball -even if a black strappy maxi wasn't the obvious choice.
