Meghan 'broke' the Queen's royal dressing rule during her engagement photoshoot

The newly-engaged actor decided against one particular item the Queen insists on

Ahhhh!
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle finally put us out of our misery yesterday and announced their engagement.
Cue, collective fist-pumps and sighs of relief as months of fevered speculation came to an end. Thanks, guys!
They also treated us to a photoshoot and televised interview , which were naturally scrutinised and pored over.
Stylish and articulate, Meghan aced the scrutiny with flying colours.
There was one detail of her outfit , however, which flew in the face of royal convention.
Meghan seemed to break a royal dressing rule which is faithfully upheld by other female members such as the Duchess of Cambridge and the Queen.
As for the Queen and the Duchess of Cornwall, they're never not seen in tights.
According to Harper's Bazaar , for all royal events the Queen requires her family members, and her guests, to wear tights.
In fact there are quite a few dress-code specifications Her Maj has made.
She's brave going bare-legged in winter
During public appearances, one must always carry a clutch.
Brightly coloured lipstick and nails are a no-no, as are short skirts, wedges, colour clashing, heels over 6 inches and, which sounds like no fun whatsoever.
Well, rather you than us, Meghan.
(OK, obviously we don't really mean that).
